DD2 Workshop Agenda Includes Superintendent Proposal For New School Calendar Changes



Dorchester County, S.C. - Starting at 9:00 a.m., the DD2 School Board met in a workshop until 4:30 p.m. today as it attempted to tackle an insurmountable binder of slides (about 200) in a lengthy operations-focused agenda that included the 2023-2024 proposed school calendar.


DD2 Superintendent Dr. Shane Robbins proposes to start school early on August 7, 2023, and ending May 24, 2024, for the 2023-2024 School Year.

Welcome, Purpose, and Overview - Climate and culture, Vision, Mission - Scholl designations& SC Report Card Growth Indicator - Cognia Self-assessment Report - Academics (Elem, MS, HS, SPED, Adult Ed, Alternate Programs) - Athletics (MS,HS, Budgets, salaries, Turf Fields) - Technology - Virtual Academy - Professional Development - Safety & Security - CTE-eSports - Transportation - Food Service - Health & Nursing Services - Facilities Management (including custodial) - Human Resources (Requiting & Retention, Bonuses etc.) - Public Information Office - Proposed Calendar 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 - Finance - Purple Star & Military Compact
