Monday, August 5, 2024, 3:30 PM

As Hurricane Debby approaches, the path has shifted, and wind gust expectations have increased, causing additional travel concerns. In response to these changes, all Dorchester County offices are scheduled to be closed from Tuesday through Thursday.

Current Plan for Dorchester School District Two:

  • School and Office Closures: All DDTwo schools and district offices will be closed from Tuesday through Thursday, in conjunction with Dorchester County. Employees are expected to work remotely during this period.

  • Extracurricular Activities: All extracurricular activities are canceled for Tuesday and Wednesday. Decisions regarding Thursday afternoon activities will be made based on the storm's impact.

  • First Day of School: The first day of school is scheduled for Friday, August 9th.

  • 4K Staggered Start: Families with children attending the 4K staggered start will receive correspondence from their respective elementary schools.

Dorchester School District Two will continue to monitor the weather and update their plans accordingly. The next report is scheduled for Tuesday, August 6th at 3:30 PM.
