On Wednesday, South Carolina Senators approved medical cannabis in South Carolina. The proposal had bipartisan support as well as opposition, and 17 members of the Republican-controlled Senate voted for the bill while 10 opposed it.
Only one more routine vote must occur before this bill gets sent off to the State House, where it has never been taken up.
Senator Tom Davis has been working on this bill for the last seven years,
Davis says his proposal is one of the most conservative amongst the 37 states that have approved medical cannabis to this point.
