Growth (uncontrolled) for the sake of growth produces nothing but problems. Growth causes increased traffic, insufficient and unmaintained infrastructure, and agonizingly, an increased tax burden on existing residents. Residential homes do not pay enough in taxes to pay for the services consumed. Crime increases. Worst of all, quality of life suffers.
It is time our elected officials stop taking orders from the developers, builders, and Chamber of Commerce. They are supposed to working for us, protecting our investment and our quality of life.
