The Holiday Blueprint

That time of year is officially here, and if you’re looking for some celebration plans, Summerville News has the scoop.


As always, the Charleston City market tree lighting and annual Charleston Holiday parade will be off without a hitch. The tree lighting will take place on Saturday, December 4th at 7:00 PM over in Marion Square.

Characters from the movie “Frozen“ will be singing and dancing for guests to enjoy. The lighting itself will begin at 7:45 PM.

On December 5th, beginning at 3:30 PM on Broad Street, the Charleston holiday parade will jolly its way down meeting Street, all the way over to Marion Square.

Moving over to Ravenel, the town‘s third annual tree lighting ceremony will be on December 4th, beginning at 5:00 PM at the Ravenel Depot.

Strolling down to Hanahan, on December 4th ,Hanahan high school will be the beginning mark for the Hanahan Christmas Parade. The event will start at 10 AM.

If you feel like Christmas on the coast in The Isle Of Palms, The Holiday Street Festival will be active from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM Saturday on Front Beach.

Food vendors will be present serving your favorite dishes; live entertainment, including Santa Claus and arts and crafts will all.

Be included in the cup of cheer.

Dashing over to Monks Corner, their town parade will be taking place also on Saturday, December 4th along Main Street in downtown Moncks Corner Parade will begin at 6:00 PM
